Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Wreath Laying Ceremony

On Feb. 3 2024 National MCL Chaplain Howard Schaeffer and Past Detachment Commandant Jason Smith participated in the Wreath Laying Ceremony. It was an emotional ceremony, in all the right ways. The weather was suprisingly wonderful for a February event. The person that laid the Wreath previous to our group was a Gold Star Mother that lost her son during Iraqi Freedom. The platoon of the deceased Marine were all present for support. This day will forever hold a special place in my heart. - Past Commandant Jason Smith
